School Garden Tour- Begins at Collective Roots

Common Ground & Slow Food South Bay are partnering in this first-ever public tour of area school gardens. Each of three tours will begin at one of the Community Farms listed above. Participants will first tour the gardens at their chosen Community Farm and then will carpool to three additional schools these farms support. Join this inspirational tour of how our children and their teachers are using their gardens for hands-on academic lessons and for connecting with where their food originates! • in one of three geographic areas, explore exciting examples of how schools are using sustainable gardens • visit a local Community Garden or Farm that supports local schools • meet the creative parents, teachers, and staff who have turned asphalt into edible landscapes • get connected with ways you and your neighbors and participate in these creations Check in at 9 a.m. at your selected Community Farm.
