On Thursday, October 8, veterans, individuals living with vision loss, and community members will gather at Palo Alto City Hall for a meaningful community walk through downtown Palo Alto, followed by a brief program celebrating accessibility, inclusion, and independence.
The white cane is a powerful symbol of dignity, self-determination, and safe, independent travel. White Cane Awareness Day is an opportunity to honor the achievements of people who are blind or have low vision while raising awareness throughout our community.
