Join us for a fun evening with Steven Yvaska, veteran vintage collector and writer of the popular San Jose Mercury News column, “The Seasoned Collector” as he discusses your own vintage items. Each guest is asked to bring a vintage object, something that is over 50 years old. Lively discussions will take place about your personal treasures. Think of this evening as your own version of a popular PBS program. We can’t say the name, but you know the show! Prepare to have fun! Wine and light refreshments will be served. Admission is free for members and $10 for non-members (cash at the door only, please). Not a member yet? Visit our website, http://www.moah.org to learn about the benefits! About Steven Yvaska Steven Wayne Yvaska has been a collector since he was nine years old. While attending graduate school at Syracuse University, Yvaska developed an overwhelming interest in American silver. The topic of his graduate thesis examines the use of ancient Egyptian motifs found on 19th and 20th century American silver flatware patterns. Mr. Yvaska may be best known for his long-running column “The Seasoned Collector” – now in its 20th year - which appears exclusively in the San Jose Mercury News and most Media News Group publications throughout Northern Calif. His articles, photographs and stories have been reprinted in newsletters, journals and bulletins.
