MISSION DRIVEN STRATEGIC PLANNING...MISSION/VISION/IMPACT
led by Mary Hiland, Ph.D
This workshop is for board members, potential board members, and nonprofit professionals, to learn about the importance of your mission statement and how it drives the strategic planning and impact of your organization.
Mary Hiland is our presenter and she has been involved with nonprofits for 40 years. Mary began as a volunteer, helping people with mental illness. She went from volunteer to staff to executive director. As an executive director she led two mergers of her nonprofit with others and ultimately led a mental health agency with 530 staff, and from a budget of $100,000 to a budget of $26 million. Mary understands first hand the challenges nonprofit executives face day to day. She deeply cares about nonprofits and the well-being and effectiveness of people who lead them.
Mary has been coaching and consulting with nonprofits for 13 years after serving 26 years as a nonprofit executive. Mary takes pride in helping nonprofits apply research and knowledge in very practical ways to the challenges that they face in their nonprofits.
