Jenny Odell combines research, aesthetics, and found online material in an effort to parse the infrastructural networks at the heart of the everyday. Her work has been exhibited at the Contemporary Jewish Museum and YBCA in San Francisco, Les Rencontres d’Arles in France, East Wing in Dubai, Apexart in New York, and the Google headquarters. Odell has also been an artist in residence at Recology SF, YBCA, the Palo Alto Art Center, and Facebook. This is part of a continuing series of Art Practice faculty talks at the Cantor to welcome the Department of Art and Art History to their new home in the McMurtry Building.
