DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with the Palo Alto Art Center's current exhibition\, The Sheltering Sky\, several local artists will engage in a conversation with one another and the audience during a free Artist Talk at the Art Center on March 31\, 3-5 p.m. Please join us as we welcome celebrated artists Linda Connor\, Ala Ebtekar\, Chris McCaw\, and Tony Misch. Linda Connor has had a long and distinguished career in photography and has traveled extensively to places such as India\, Turkey\, Peru\, Iceland\, and Southeast Asia\; Ala Ebtekar is an artist\, researcher\, and educator who works between his native San Francisco Bay Area and Tehran\, Iran\; Chris McCaw is an American photographer known for his stark\, incandescent\, and otherworldly large-format photographs that seem to exist out of time\; and Tony Misch is an artist who has lived and worked at mountaintop observatories\, and his interest in the history of astronomy has led him to the preservation and evocation of its artifacts.
